We are the South Florida Orzel Eagles, a top ranked competitive softball team that competes on Sundays at Mills Pond Park in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. We currently play in the very competitive “B” Division as part of the South Florida Amateur Athletic Association (S.F.A.A.A). S.F.A.A.A was created to provide gay and non-gay participants a chance to play in a softball league that welcomes all.

As a sanctioned team within the North America Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance (NAGAAA) we are afforded the very special opportunity to compete on a national, and international level with other slow pitch softball leagues across the country and around the World.

We pride ourselves in our diversity. With team members ranging in age from 22 to 50 years old and coming from hometowns as far away as El Salvador to right here in South Florida we are not just a softball team, but more of a “band of brothers”. Formed in 2000 most of the team has played together for many years and as a result we share an extremely strong bond on and off the field and that is a large reason for our success as a team.
